And what inspires my art

Kim is an emerging artist residing in Vankleek Hill, Ontario and is an active member of the Artistes Hudson Artists Association based in Hudson, Quebec.

Since childhood, Kim has always loved creating works of art. While pursuing a business career and raising a family, she still found the time to study and experiment with pastel drawing, watercolour painting, mixed media and stained glass. Since retiring in 2012, Kim has been able to focus on both her passions: art creation and outdoor recreation.

She is an avid cyclist and cross-country skier and brings a camera to photograph the scenery along the way. These photographs guide her landscape compositions and have also been integrated into her image transfer art pieces. Watercolour still remains her favourite medium to capture the simple beauty of the natural world.

Working with professional artists Sheryna Vivinsky and Gisèle Lapalme, Kim has continued to develop her personal style and enhance her mastery of watercolour and mixed media techniques.

Being active in the outdoors energizes her both physically and spiritually. It is this positive energy that inspires her to create the colourful and light-filled beauty that you will find in all of her artistic works.
